The increase of potato yields with eco-friendly friendly biostimulants at minimal costs is a key criterion for the successful development of the food security program. This article deals with the effect of pre-treatment with new-generation biostimulants (Epin-Extra, Zircon, Bigus VR, Biostim-Universal, Mival-Agro) on the growth, development, yield, and quality of potato tubers of the Farn and Nevsky varieties. Field experiments were carried out in accordance with the “Methodology of Field Experiment”. Biostimulants were applied in the frame of the state recommendations approved in the Russian Federation. It was noted that pre-treatment increased the yield of the Farn variety by 16.0 to 27.1 % (Biostim-Universal, Bigus VR, Mival-Agro). Lower efficacy was observed for the biostimulants Zircon (4.9 %) and Epin-Extra (8.9 %). The effect of biostimulants on the yield of the Nevsky potato variety was comparatively lower, ranging from 4.2 to 19.6 %, depending on the biostimulant. The examined biostimulants contributed to the improvement of tuber quality. The application of Mival-Agro increased the dry matter content in both varieties by 0.4 to 0.7 %, and starch content by 0.1 to 0.7 %; for Bigus VR, the increases were 0.1 to 0.5 % and 0.1 to 0.9 %, respectively. In the leached chernozem soils of the forest-steppe zone of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, to accelerate plant vegetation phases and increase the environmentally high-quality yields, pre-treatment of potato tubers with the following biostimulants is recommended: Mival-Agro at a dose of 2 g per 10 L, Bigus VR at 40 mL per 10 L, and Biostim-Universal at 20 mL per 10 L.
